प्रिय स्नेही मित्रों जय श्रीकृष्णा, राधे राधे.....

          पूजा-पाठ हिंदू धर्म का एक विशेष अंग है। पूजा-पाठ करने से सुख-शांति अौर समृद्धि की प्राप्ति होती है। विधि-विधान से पूजन करने पर देवी-देवता शीघ्र प्रसन्न होते हैं। मगर बहुत ही कम लोग पूजा से संबंधित जरूरी बातें जानते हैं।

         इन बातों के बारे में हमारे धर्म ग्रंथों में बताया गया है। पूजा से संबंधित ऐसी कई छोटी-छोटी जरूरी बातें होती हैं, जिनका ध्यान रखना चाहिए।

        घी अौर तेल दोनों का दीपक प्रज्वलित करना चाहिए। तेल का दीपक बाएं हाथ अौर घी का दीपक दाएं हाथ की अोर प्रज्वलित करना चाहिए।

        हल्दी व जल मिलाकर  उसमें चावल डूबोकर पीला करें। उसके बाद पीले चावलों को चढ़ाएं। पीला चावल चढ़ाना शुभ होता है। ध्यान रखें पूजा के लिए अखंड़ित चावलों का ही प्रयोग करें।

        पूजा के समय पान का पत्ता अर्पित करना शुभ होता है। पान के पत्ते के साथ इलाइची, लौंग, गुलकंद आदि भी अर्पित करना चाहिए। पूरा बना हुआ पान अर्पित करना अति उत्तम होता है।

       भगवान को कभी भी बासी जल, फूल और पत्ते नहीं चढ़ाना चाहिए। लेकिन गंगाजल, तुलसी के पत्ते, बिल्वपत्र और कमल, ये चारों किसी भी अवस्था में बासी नहीं होते। इसलिए इनका उपयोग पूजन में कभी भी किया जा सकता है।

        पूजन से पूर्व देवी-देवताअों को आमंत्रित करें। देवी-देवताअों का ध्यान करके उन्हें आसन दें, स्नान करवाएं, धूप-दीप जलाकर कुमकुम, फूल, फल व मिष्ठान्न अर्पित करें।

       प्रत्येक भगवान को अलग-अलग रंग का वस्त्र चढ़ाना चाहिए। भगवान विष्णु को पीले रंग का रेशमी वस्त्र चढ़ाना चाहिए। मां दुर्गा, सूर्य देव अौर श्री गणेश को लाल रंग का अौर भोलेनाथ को सफेद रंग का कपड़ा चढ़ाना चाहिए।

       पूजा करते समय कुल देवता, कुल देवी, घर के वास्तु देवता, ग्राम देवता आदि का ध्यान कर उनकी भी पूजा करनी चाहिए। इससे घर में सुख-समृद्धि आती है।

       पूजा करते समय हम जिस आसन पर बैठते हैं उसे पैर से इधर-उधर नहीं खिसकाना चाहिए। आसन को हाथों से खिसकाएं।

      पूजा करते समय इष्टदेव के साथ ही स्वास्तिक, कलश, नवग्रह देवता, पंच लोकपाल, षोडश मातृका, सप्त मातृका का भी पूजन करना चाहिए।

       घर में प्रतिदिन घी का एक दीपक अवश्य प्रज्वलित करें। इससे कई वास्तु दोष दूर होते हैं। दीपक के धुंए से नकारात्मक ऊर्जा नष्ट हो जाती है।

       श्रीगणेश, सूर्यदेव, मां दुर्गा, भोलेनाथ अौर भगवान शिव को पंचदेव कहा जाता है। कोई भी शुभ कार्य करने से पहले इनका पूजन अवश्य करना चाहिए।

        वायु पुराण में कहा गया है कि स्नान के पश्चात ही पूजा के लिए फूल-पत्ते तोड़े। बिना स्नान किए जो व्यक्ति फूल या तुलसीपत्र तोड़ता है भगवान उसे ग्रहण नहीं करते है।

          पूजा करते समय अनामिका उंगली अर्थात रिंग फिंगर से चंदन, कुमकुम, अबीर, गुलाल, हल्दी, मेहंदी लगानी चाहिए। किसी अन्य उंगली से न लगाएं।

        पूजा स्थान पर चप्पल पहनकर न जाएं। इसके साथ ही चमड़े की बेल्ट या पर्स अपने पास रखकर भी पूजन नहीं करना चाहिए।

           Worship is a special part of Hinduism.  By worshiping, one gets happiness, peace and prosperity.  Gods and Goddesses are pleased immediately after worshiping by law.  But very few people know the essential things related to worship.


          These things have been told in our religious texts.  There are many small things related to worship that should be taken care of.

         Lamps of both ghee and oil should be ignited.  Oil lamp left hand and ghee lamp right hand light should be ignited.


         Mix turmeric and water and dip rice in it to make it yellow.  Then offer yellow rice.  Plating yellow rice is auspicious.  Keep in mind that only use unadulterated rice for worship.



         Offering a betel leaf at the time of worship is auspicious.  Cardamom, cloves, gulkand etc. should also be offered along with betel leaves.  It is best to offer a full made pan.

        God should never offer stale water, flowers and leaves.  But Ganga water, basil leaves, bilvapatra and lotus, these four are not stale in any stage.  Therefore they can be used at any time in worship.


         Before worshiping, invite the deities.  After meditating on the Gods and Goddesses, offer them postures, bathe them, burn incense lamps and offer kumkum, flowers, fruits and sweetmeats.



        Each god should offer different colored clothes.  Yellow silk cloth should be offered to Lord Vishnu.  Red color should be offered to Maa Durga, Surya Dev and Shri Ganesh and white cloth to Bholenath.



        While worshiping, you should also pay attention to the Kul Devta, Kul Devi, Vastu Devta of the house, village deity etc.  This brings happiness and prosperity in the home.



        During the puja, the posture we sit on should not be moved from the feet.  Slide the posture with your hands.



       While worshiping, along with the presiding deity, one should also worship Swastik, Kalash, Navagraha Devta, Panch Lokpal, Shodash Matrika, Sapta Matrika.



        Must light a lamp of ghee daily in the house.  Many Vastu defects are removed by this.  The negative energy is destroyed by the smoke of the lamp.

        Sri Ganesh, Suryadev, Maa Durga, Bholenath and Lord Shiva are called Panchdev.  Before doing any auspicious work, they must be worshiped.



         It is said in the Vayu Purana that flowers and leaves are broken for worship only after bathing.  God does not accept a person who breaks a flower or a basil leaf without taking a bath.


           Anamika finger means ring finger, sandalwood, kumkum, abir, gulal, turmeric, mehndi should be applied during the puja.  Do not apply it with any other finger.



         Do not go to the place of worship wearing slippers.  Also, do not worship with a leather belt or purse near you.
